This Ninja Creami Eggnog Ice Cream is an easy, ultra-creamy holiday dessert made with rich eggnog that freezes perfectly and spins into silky ice cream. It comes together in minutes, requires just one ingredient, and churns to an irresistibly festive treat that everyone will devour this Christmas season.
Every December, I buy 'just one more carton' of eggnog every time I'm out grocery shopping, and this recipe is the reason why. It turns into the smoothest homemade ice cream without any work (just like my Ninja Creami Fairlife Chocolate Milk Ice Cream).

The Ninja Creami ice cream maker transforms regular old eggnog into delicious creamy ice cream with that classic eggnog flavor: warm spice, ground nutmeg, vanilla, and just the right amount of sweetness. No eggs to crack, no egg yolks to temper, and no stovetop custard to whisk. It's smooth as silk without heavy cream, milk mixtures, or any complicated steps. Just eggnog, a Ninja Creami pint container, and one button press.
Why this Recipe Works
- So simple to make with almost no prep required. Just pour eggnog into the pint and freeze - that's it. There's no food processors, no blending, and no extra bowls to clean.
- It spins into creamy ice cream that has all the classic holiday warmth from the spices that are already in the eggnog.
- A festive one-ingredient dessert that somehow tastes like you slaved over it for hours.

Ninja Creami Eggnog Ice Cream Ingredients
- Eggnog: Because eggnog already contains eggs, vanilla extract, milk, sugar, and nutmeg, it behaves like a premade custard that will freeze into the perfect texture and provide all the richness without needing heavy cream. Use your favorite brand or make homemade eggnog ice cream using your own eggnog recipe.
- Milk, Cream, or Extra Eggnog (Optional): Only use this in the Re-spin cycle if your mixture looks crumbly. Just one tablespoon will pull everything together into a smooth, scoopable texture. Any liquid works - dairy milk, unsweetened almond milk, oat milk, or even leftover eggnog. Since you're only adding an ounce or so, it doesn't affect the flavor of the ice cream and stays true to classic eggnog.
How to Make Ninja Creami Eggnog Ice Cream
Pour the eggnog into a Ninja Creami pint container, filling to the MAX FILL line.
(Give the pint a gentle tap on the counter to release air bubbles.)

Secure the lid and place the pint in the coldest part of your freezer. Freeze for at least 24 hours, until completely solid from top to bottom.

Remove the lid and place the frozen pint into the outer bowl. Attach the lid assembly, insert it into the Ninja Creami machine, and process it on the Ice Cream cycle.

Check the texture. It should be fine. But if it is crumbly, add 1 tablespoon of milk, cream, or eggnog and run it through the Re-Spin cycle.

Serve the ice cream immediately by scooping directly from the pint and into serving bowls or ice cream cones, and enjoy!

How to Serve It
- With Ginger Snap Cookies or gingerbread cookies
- On top of pecan pie, apple pie, Smoked Pumpkin Pie, or Crustless Pumpkin Pie.
- Drizzled with maple syrup or caramel sauce.
- In a holiday affogato (hot coffee over eggnog ice cream... trust me).
- Beside Christmas desserts like Soft Sugar Cookies or fruitcake.
Variations
- A sprinkle of nutmeg or cinnamon to boost the warm spice already in the eggnog.
- Add crushed gingerbread or Biscoff cookies, then run on the MIX-IN cycle.
- "Spiked" flavor without alcohol: Stir ¼ teaspoon of rum extract into the base before freezing.
- Adult flavor: Add an ounce of your favorite rum in the center after the first spin, and RE-SPIN.
- Protein boost: Mix 1 scoop of vanilla protein powder into the eggnog before freezing. Great for turning it into a holiday high-protein dessert. (You'll need to add a tablespoon of liquid during the RE-SPIN since protein powder can make the base thicker.)
Important Tips
- Use full-fat eggnog for the creamiest texture. Low-fat tends to get icier.
- If your freezer runs extremely cold, let the pint sit out for 1-2 minutes before spinning.

The One I Use

Storing Leftovers
- Store any remaining ice cream in the Creami pint with the lid on, or transfer to a freezer-safe airtight container.
- The texture will harden in the freezer, but will recover easily after re-processing on the ICE CREAM function.
Can I make this in a Ninja Swirl?
Yes, you can most certainly make this in a Ninja Swirl! Pour the eggnog directly into the Ninja Swirl pint container, freeze, and process it on Soft Serve or Scoop, then Ice Cream. I LOVE the soft serve ice cream.

- 1 tablespoon milk, cream, or eggnog (optional, for Re-spin only)
Instructions
- Pour 2 cups of eggnog into a Ninja Creami pint container, filling it to the MAX FILL line. Tap the container gently on the counter to release any air bubbles, then secure the lid.
