This Ninja Creami chocolate milkshake is one of those summer treats you'll find yourself making over and over again. And my family can never get enough of this one.
I've tested this creamy milkshake recipe with homemade Ninja Creami Chocolate Ice Cream, Ninja Creami Fairlife Chocolate Milk Ice Cream, and store-bought ice cream, and they all come out just like a shake from an ice cream shop.

The Secrets to the Ultimate Ninja Creami Chocolate Milkshake
- Use Quality Chocolate Ice Cream - The flavor of your milkshake starts here. Homemade chocolate ice cream gives a fresher flavor, but a good quality store-bought ice cream works well too.
- The Perfect Milk-to-Ice Cream Ratio - Too much milk makes your shake thin; too little makes it hard to blend. A ½ cup of milk per pint gives you the perfect diner-style creaminess.
- Add Extras - Top with chocolate syrup, whipped cream, a maraschino cherry, sprinkles, or chocolate shavings.

Recipe Ingredients

- Chocolate Ice Cream. I used my homemade Ninja Creami Chocolate Ice Cream, but you can use Ninja Creami Fairlife Chocolate Milk Ice Cream or store-bought, too.
- Milk. Whole milk makes the shake thick and creamy, but 2% milk or even dairy-free milk, such as oat or almond milk, work too. I like to use Fairlife 2% or 3% milk for extra protein.

How to Make a Ninja Creami Chocolate Milkshake:
Step 1: Add Your Ingredients
Scoop your chocolate ice cream into the Ninja Creami pint container and pour in the milk.

Step 2: Process in the Ninja Creami
Secure the lid on the pint jar, place it in the outer bowl assembly, add the outer bowl lid, and lock it into the Ninja Creami machine according to the manufacturer's instructions. Select the Milkshake button and let the machine do its thing.

Step 3: Check the Consistency
When the cycle is done, remove the pint and check the thickness. To make your milkshake thinner, add a splash of extra milk and re-spin.
Step 4: Serve and Enjoy!
Pour your milkshake into a tall glass. Top with whipped cream, a drizzle of chocolate syrup, and a sprinkle of chocolate shavings. Serve immediately while it's cold and creamy!

Storing and Serving Tips
How to Store Your Ninja Creami Milkshake
Milkshakes are best served immediately for the thickest, creamiest texture. However, if you have leftovers, pour them into the original Ninja Creami pint and freeze for up to 2 weeks.
How to Serve After Freezer Storage
When you're ready for round two, let the frozen milkshake sit at room temperature for 5 minutes. Then, process it on the 'Milkshake' function to bring it back to smooth, sippable perfection.
