    🍓 Ingredient Notes & Substitutions

This is the easiest recipe, and everything you need can be found at your local grocery store.

The ingredients needed to make strawberry sorbet measured out and placed on a wooden table.
    • Strawberries. Fresh strawberries will give you the best flavor, but you could also use frozen strawberries.
    • Sugar. I used granulated sugar, but powdered sugar or your favorite sugar substitute could also be used. It's important to note that the amount of sugar you use can vary based on your personal preferences and the sweetness of your strawberries. If your strawberries are already very sweet, you may not need as much sugar. Alternatively, if you prefer a sweeter sorbet, you can add more sugar to taste.
    • Lemon juice. Freshly squeezed lemon juice will give you the best flavor, but you could also use bottled lemon juice or lime juice.
    • Heavy cream. Just a little bit is needed to achieve the super creamy texture. You could also use half-and-half or whole milk.

    🥄 Equipment

To make this easy strawberry sorbet recipe, you will need:

    • Blender or Food Processor.
    • Ninja Creami pint container (I bought extra pint containers so I always have some ready to go).
    • Ninja Creami machine

🍨 How to Make Ninja Creami Strawberry Sorbet

First, wash and dry your strawberries, and remove the stems. Cut the strawberries in half.

Place strawberries, granulated sugar, heavy whipping cream, and lemon juice in a blender or food processor. Blend until smooth and well combined.

Pour the mixture into a Ninja Creami pint container. Make sure it doesn't go over the MAX FILL line. Place storage lid securely.

Place the container upright in the freezer for 24 hours.

Remove the pint from the freezer and remove the lid. Place pint container in the outer bowl and lock on the outer bowl lid. Place bowl assembly onto the Ninja Creami motor base and turn the handle to the right to raise the platform and lock it in place.

Select SORBET setting on the Ninja Creami control panel. Allow the Ninja Creami to run for the full cycle - this will take about 2 minutes. Once the sorbet is done churning, turn off the Ninja Creami and remove the container from the motor base.

Scoop up the sorbet with an ice cream scoop and serve immediately.

    Enjoy!

Tip: The sorbet may look crumbly if your freezer is set to a very cold temperature. If this occurs, select the RE-SPIN function on the Ninja Creami control panel to process the mixture until it becomes smooth and creamy.

    💭 Expert Tips

    • Use the freshest and ripest strawberries possible for the best flavor.
    • When blending the ingredients, start with a low setting and gradually increase the speed to prevent the mixture from splattering.
    • Depending on how sweet you want your sorbet, you can add or subtract sugar to adjust the sweetness level.
    • If your sorbet looks dry and crumbly after the first spin, RESPIN to make it smooth and creamy.
    • Serve your sorbet quickly after churning so it doesn't melt!
    • Serve with your favorite toppings such as fresh fruit, chocolate chips, nuts, or whipped cream!
    • Use a low carb sweetener to make it perfect for the keto diet.

    🍨 Serving Suggestions

    • Scoop onto waffles or pancakes for a decadent breakfast treat.
    • Use as a topping for sponge cakes, cupcakes, or ice cream sundaes.
    • Layer scoops into glasses with whipped cream for an easy parfait dessert.
    • For a more indulgent treat, try sandwiching the sorbet between two freshly baked cookies.
    • To make popsicles - fill up Popsicle molds with the sorbet mixture and freeze until solid.

    ❓ Recipe FAQs

Can I substitute the heavy cream with a non-dairy alternative?

Yes, you can use coconut cream, coconut milk, almond milk, or any other non-dairy substitute that works well in frozen desserts.

Can I use frozen strawberries instead of fresh?

Absolutely! Frozen strawberries work just as well as fresh ones in this recipe. Just make sure to thaw them completely and drain any excess water before adding them to the mixture.

How long can I store the sorbet for?

You can store the sorbet in an airtight container in the freezer for up to two weeks.
