EASY: I'm not joking; it is super simple to prepare. It is so quick to make in the air fryer!
MOIST CHICKEN: The chicken is always tender and juicy, every single time. Yum!
VERSATILE: Make this chicken for a delicious dinner or cut up chicken into smaller pieces before wrapping in bacon for an easy appetizer!
EASY CLEANUP: The grease from the bacon slices drips down underneath the rack in the air fryer. This makes cleanup a breeze!
🍗 Ingredients
This is a simple recipe that only has three ingredients. It's perfect for when you're in a hurry and don't have much time to cook but still want something super delicious!

- Boneless skinless chicken breasts. I used free-range organic chicken breasts.
- Bacon slices. I used regular cut bacon. I haven't tried this recipe with thick bacon yet. If you do, let me know how it turns out!
- Spicy rub: This is my favorite Dry Rub for Chicken. It contains brown sugar, garlic powder, black pepper, paprika, roasted garlic and pepper seasoning, chili powder, seasoning salt, and onion powder. Feel free to use your favorite seasonings.

🥓 How to make air fryer bacon-wrapped boneless chicken breasts
First, mix up the spice rub ingredients in a small bowl. Set aside.
Dry the raw chicken with a paper towel.
Sprinkle spice rub evenly on each chicken breast, coating the top and bottom.
Now let's wrap the bacon. There are two ways you can wrap the chicken with pieces of bacon. You can either weave a few bacon strips together to create a basket weave before you wrap it around the chicken, or...

Alternatively, you can just wrap a slice of bacon around the chicken. This way uses fewer bacon slices and is faster. Tuck the bacon underneath the chicken. If you need to, you can use a toothpick to secure the bacon.

Next, preheat the air fryer to 400 degrees F. Place the chicken in a single layer in the air fryer basket.

Cook for 15 minutes. Then flip the chicken very carefully so as not to dishevel the bacon slices.

Turn the heat down to 380 degrees, and cook for about 10 minutes, or until the internal temperature of the chicken reaches 165 degrees F. I used a meat thermometer placed in the thickest part of the chicken.
That's it! Serve immediately! Enjoy!

🍽 Equipment
To make this chicken recipe, you need an air fryer. The one I used for this recipe was the Instant Pot Vortex Air Fryer.
I also have a Ninja Foodi Air Fryer that has two air fryer baskets.
🌡️ Storage
To store any leftovers, let the chicken cool. However, do not let it sit out at room temperature for more than 2 hours.
FRIDGE: Place the chicken in an airtight container and store it in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
FREEZER: Cover the chicken up with plastic wrap and place in a Ziploc freezer bag. Place in the freezer for up to 2 months
💭 Top tips
- For faster cooking, slice boneless chicken breasts in half before wrapping them in bacon. That will give you twice the amount of chicken breasts, and they will cook much faster.
- Make sure the chicken breasts are equal in size and thickness for even cooking.
- Use a thermometer to check the internal temperature of the chicken. Check it often near the end of cook time, it cooks fast!
- All air fryers cook differently, so the cook time may need to be adjusted.

The best way to reheat bacon-wrapped chicken is by wrapping it in aluminum foil and placing the package back in the air fryer. Then, heat it on the reheat function until hot, about 5 minutes.
It takes about 25 minutes to cook a bacon-wrapped chicken breast.
The starting temperature is at 400 degrees F for 15 minutes, then 380 degrees F for 10 more minutes, until the internal temperature of the chicken reaches 165 degrees F.

- 3-4 Boneless chicken breasts
- 1 tbsp spice rub link for homemade spice rub in Notes
- 375 g bacon
Instructions
- Combine the spice rub ingredients in a small bowl. Set aside
- Dry the raw chicken with a paper towel.
- Sprinkle spice rub evenly on each chicken breast, coating the top and bottom.
- Wrap the bacon around the chicken breast in either a basket weave or wrap the bacon slices around each piece of chicken. Tuck the bacon underneath the chicken or secure with toothpicks.
- Preheat the air fryer to 400 degrees F. Place the chicken in a single layer in the air fryer basket and cook for 15 minutes.
- Flip the chicken carefully so as not to loosen the bacon slices. Turn the heat down to 380 degrees, and continue to cook for about 10 minutes more, or until the internal temperature of the chicken reaches 165 degrees F.
