Step 1

Preheat your oven to 350°F. Spread the graham crackers on a large baking sheet lined with parchment paper or aluminum foil in a single layer. (They don't have to be perfect).

Make Toffee Sauce: Combine butter and brown sugar in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Stir constantly with a whisk until the mixture boils and thickens (about 3 minutes).

Pour Toffee Sauce: Evenly pour the hot toffee sauce over the graham crackers and spread with a rubber spatula. Bake in the oven for 5-6 minutes until bubbly.

Add Chocolate: Remove from oven, sprinkle chocolate chips over the toffee. Return to oven for 2 minutes to melt the chocolate, then spread evenly.

Ingredients

  • 33 sheets Graham crackers about 2 sleeves
  • 1 cup butter unsalted
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • ¼ cup toffee bits

Instructions

  • Step 1: Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
  • Step 2: Cover a large baking sheet with a single layer of graham crackers.
  • Step 3: Make the homemade toffee sauce. Place butter and brown sugar in a medium saucepan over medium heat. When the butter comes to a boil, constantly whisk until the sauce thickens, about 3 minutes.
  • Step 4: Immediately pour the toffee sauce over the graham crackers evenly. Smooth it evenly over the crackers with a spatula while they are still warm.
  • Step 5: Bake in the oven for 5-6 minutes, until the caramel sauce is bubbly around the edges.
  • Step 6: Remove from the oven, and sprinkle chocolate chips evenly over the toffee. Place the baking sheet back in the oven for 2 minutes. Remove the baking sheet from the oven, and use a spatula to spread the chocolate chips on the toffee.
  • Step 7: Sprinkle toffee bits evenly on top of the melted chocolate. Place the pan in the freezer for 15-30 minutes, until cool and hardened.
  • Step 8: When the candy has cooled and hardened, use a knife to slice it into squares or break into pieces.

  • Line your baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil to prevent sticking. If you use aluminum foil, spray it with cooking spray.
