📋 Ingredient Notes and Substitutions
This delicious recipe is made with only 4 ingredients! You probably have these ingredients to make these cookies in your kitchen already!

- Cake mix. I used Devil's Food cake mix. However, feel free to use your favorite chocolate cake mix. I recommend using a super moist dry cake mix.
- Large eggs. These are used to bind the cookie together.
- Vegetable oil. I used canola oil. This adds moisture to the cookie. You can also use melted butter in place of the oil.
- Powdered icing sugar. Also known as confectioner sugar or powdered sugar, this is the 'icing on the cookie', so to speak. You can also use granulated sugar instead of powdered sugar.

🥣 How to make chocolate crinkle cookies
Step 1: Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F. Cover baking sheets with parchment paper.
Step 2: Place the cake mix, eggs, and vegetable oil into a large bowl. Use an electric hand mixer to mix the ingredients together for about 2 minutes, until stiff dough forms. You can also stir together the dough using a wooden spoon and some good old-fashioned elbow grease.

Step 3: Place sugar in a shallow bowl.
Step 4: Use a spoon or cookie scoop to scoop up the dough. Use your hands to form the dough into 1-inch balls. Drop the cookie dough balls into the powdered sugar. Roll them around until they are completely covered.

Step 5: Place the cookie balls onto a parchment-lined baking sheet. Place the cookies about 2 inches apart as they spread out quite a bit. You will need to use 2 cookie sheets, or cook them in batches.
Step 6: Bake the cookies for 10 to 12 minutes or until set. Smaller cookies will take 7-9 minutes. Do not overbake.

Step 7: Allow them to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely
Serve with a glass of milk. 🙂
Enjoy!
