Watermelon Mint Salad Ingredients
A complete list of ingredients and amounts can be found in the printable recipe card below.
- Watermelon. Use a small seedless watermelon. Choose one with a symmetrical shape and a creamy yellow spot.
- Fresh Mint Leaves. Chop the mint leaves finely. Dried mint won't work, it has to be fresh.
- Seedless Red Grapes. If you have little ones, halve the grapes before adding them to the salad. You can also use green grapes or a mixture of red and green.
- Lime Juice. Use the juice of one lime.
- Honey. Adds a touch of sweetness to the salad.

Recipe Testing Notes
- If the watermelon salad sits too long in the fridge, it can become watery, so it is best served immediately.
- I made this salad with a seedless watermelon for convenience, but you can use any variety you prefer. Just make sure to remove the seeds if your watermelon has them.
- Adjust the lime juice and honey to your taste.

Recipe
Watermelon Mint Salad
Ingredients
- 6 cups seedless watermelon cut in 1-inch chunks
- ½ cup fresh mint leaves chopped
- 1 cup seedless red grapes whole or halved
- 2 tablespoons lime juice juice of one lime
- 1 tablespoon honey
Instructions
- Prepare the Watermelon: Cut the watermelon into bite-sized cubes and place in a large mixing bowl. Tip: To save time, you can buy pre-cut watermelon from the store.
- Combine Ingredients: Place red grapes and chopped mint into the bowl with the watermelon.
- Add the Dressing: In a small bowl, combine the lime juice and honey. Drizzle the mixture over the watermelon, grapes, and mint.
- Toss and Serve: Gently toss all the ingredients together, transfer to a serving dish, garnish with extra mint, and serve immediately. Enjoy!
Recipe Notes:
- Watermelon: For the best flavor and convenience, choose a ripe, seedless watermelon. Look for one that feels heavy for its size and has a creamy yellow spot where it sat on the ground.
- Adjust Sweetness: If your watermelon isn't as sweet as you'd like it to be, add a bit more honey to the dressing.
- Extra Add-Ins: Get creative by adding other fruits like green grapes, blueberries, strawberries, or even a sliced cucumber.
- Storage Tips: Store any leftover salad in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 1-2 days.
- Make Ahead: While you can prep the ingredients ahead of time, it's best to toss the salad with the dressing no more than 30 minutes before serving to keep it fresh and crisp.
