🍯 Ingredient Notes
You will love this irresistible combination of warm melted cheese and sweet honey. To make this mouthwatering dish, you will need the following ingredients:

- Brie cheese. I used a whole brie wheel of double cream brie cheese - 650 g or 23 ounces, which is enough for 22 servings. You can use a smaller size, and you can also use triple cream brie cheese.
- Honey. I used honey local to my area. You can use any honey you have on hand. You can use easy-to-pour honey or creamed honey. If you don't want to use honey, you can substitute maple syrup.
- Pecans, optional. I used chopped pecans to add a little crunch and a bit more flavor to the cheese. However, this is entirely optional. You could also add chopped walnuts or almonds.

🔪 How to make baked brie with honey
To make this recipe, preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
Place an entire wheel of brie on a rimmed baking sheet lined with parchment paper. You can also use a small baking dish, cast iron pan, or sheet pan.
With a sharp knife, carefully cut off the top rind. Do not cut it off the side or the bottom, otherwise, the melted cheese will run all over. Only remove the top of the rind.

Apply a drizzle of honey over the top of the brie cheese, making sure it is completely covered in a thin layer.
If desired, top with chopped walnuts, almonds, or pecans over the top for extra flavor.

Place the brie in the oven at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 10-12 minutes, and bake until the cheese is melted.

Remove from the oven, transfer brie to a serving platter, and serve immediately with your favorite crackers, crusty bread, or fresh fruit.
Use a small knife or spoon to scoop up the melty cheese.
Enjoy!

🥖 What to serve with baked brie
This elegant appetizer is delicious served with grapes, fresh berries, fruit slices such as apples or pears, crackers, and toasted baguette slices. These can all be used to scoop up the melted soft cheese.
💭 Expert Tips
- Cut the brie rind completely off the top of the wheel of brie. Leave the white rind on the bottom and sides to prevent the gooey cheese from running all over the pan.
- Be generous when drizzling the honey over the brie cheese - it should cover it completely in a thin layer.
- To enhance the flavor of your honey and brie combination, try adding fig jam, cranberries, or dried apricots. This will add another layer of flavor to each bite. You could also add a sprig of fresh rosemary for extra flavor.
- For a crunchy and flavorful topping, add chopped walnuts, almonds, or pecans before baking in the oven.
- For a little kick, add a sprinkle of red pepper flakes to the top of the cheese before baking.
- Let the baked brie cool slightly before serving to avoid getting burned.
- Keep an eye on the brie during baking so it does not burn. The cheese should just begin to melt when finished.
- After 10-15 minutes at room temperature the brie will start to harden. You can pop it back into the oven for a few more minutes, or warm it in the microwave.
❓ Recipe FAQs
Leftover brie can last up to five days stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator. To enjoy it for longer, you can freeze it for up to three months. Allow the brie to thaw in the fridge overnight before serving.
Not necessarily - it is a matter of personal preference. If you like the flavor of the rind, you can leave it on and simply bake the cheese until it's soft and gooey. I prefer to cut the top of the rind off, but leave the rest on to hold the cheese in place and prevent it from running all over the baking dish.
Absolutely! Brie and honey pair wonderfully together. The cheese's creamy texture is perfectly complemented by the sweetness of the honey. Combining them together makes for a delicious appetizer or mid-day snack that is sure to impress any guest!
The baking time for brie with honey will depend on the size of the wheel, but generally, it should take 10-12 minutes at 350° F. Be sure to keep an eye on it as it bakes so that it does not burn.
Yes! Warm baked brie in the oven until the cheese is melted again. Or, you can also place the brie in a microwave-safe dish and microwave it until the cheese has softened.
