Baked Brie Cheese With Honey Ingredients
A complete list of ingredients and amounts can be found in the printable recipe card below.
- Brie cheese. I used a whole brie wheel of double cream brie cheese - 650 g or 23 ounces- enough for 22 servings. You can use a smaller size, and you can also use triple cream brie cheese.
- Honey. I used honey local to my area. You can use easy-to-pour honey or creamed honey. If you don't want to use honey, you can use maple syrup.
- Pecans. I used chopped pecans, but this is optional. You could also add chopped walnuts or almonds.
How To Make Baked Brie Cheese With Honey
- Step 1: Preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Place an entire wheel of brie on a rimmed baking sheet lined with parchment paper. You can also use a small baking dish, cast iron pan, or sheet pan. With a sharp knife, carefully cut off the top rind.
- Step 2: Do not cut off the side or the bottom; otherwise, the melted cheese will run all over. Only remove the top of the rind.
- Step 3: Drizzle a thin layer of honey over the top.
- Step 4: Top with chopped pecans.
- Step 5: Bake the brie in the oven for 10-12 minutes until the cheese is melted.
- Step 6: Transfer to a serving platter and serve immediately with your favorite crackers, bread, or fresh fruit. Use a small knife or spoon to scoop up the melty cheese. Enjoy!
Serving Suggestions
Crackers & Bread: Perfect for scooping up the melted brie.
Fruit: Grapes, pear and apple slices, or fresh berries complement the flavors beautifully.
Extras: Add fig jam, cranberries, dried apricots, or a sprig of fresh rosemary for extra flavor.
How To Store Baked Brie
Store: Refrigerate leftovers in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
Freeze: Freeze for up to 3 months. Thaw in the fridge overnight before reheating in the oven.
Top Tips
Keep the Rind: Leave the rind on the sides and bottom to prevent the cheese from running.
Generous Honey: Don’t skimp on the honey.
Watch Closely: Keep an eye on the brie to prevent burning.
Reheat Gently: The brie will harden after 10-15 minutes at room temperature. Pop it back in the oven for a few more minutes, or rewarm in the microwave.
