🧅 Ingredient Notes and Substitutions
With these common ingredients, you'll have a delicious and easy keto-friendly spinach dip.
- Spinach. I used fresh spinach, cooked and squeezed dry. You can also use 14 oz. of frozen spinach instead. I find that the fresh spinach gives it a better flavor and a fresh taste.
- Cream cheese. I used full-fat softened cream cheese. If you want to cut calories, you could use low-fat cream cheese.
- Sour cream. I used full-fat sour cream, but you can use lower fat sour cream.
- Mayo. I used avocado mayo for this dip, but you can use your favorite mayo.
- Black pepper. This adds great flavor to this dip.
- Onion powder. It adds more great flavor without being too overpowering.
- Garlic powder. You could also use finely minced fresh garlic.
- Worcestershire sauce. This really adds to the flavor.
- Green onion. I used chopped fresh green onion. You could also use 1 tablespoon of onion flakes instead of fresh onion.
- Parmesan cheese. Don't leave this out; it is SO good.
