This Homemade KitchenAid Chocolate Ice Cream is thick, creamy, and way better than any store-bought ice cream. Made with chocolate instant pudding powder, it's full of rich chocolate flavor and ready in just 30 minutes.
Whisk table cream, half-and-half, the entire package of instant chocolate pudding, and sugar in a large mixing bowl.
Set up the chilled ice cream maker according to the manufacturer's directions. Turn on the ice cream maker and slowly pour the ice cream mixture into the freezer bowl. Churn for 20-30 minutes. The ice cream will increase in volume and get thicker and creamier as it churns.
After 20-30 minutes, it will be the consistency of soft-serve ice cream. Use a rubber spatula or ice cream paddle to remove the ice cream from the freezer bowl and serve immediately. Enjoy!
Notes
Ensure the freezer bowl has been frozen for at least 24 hours before churning.
If you want your ice cream harder, place it in the freezer in an airtight container for 2-4 hours, then serve. Do not freeze in the freezer bowl.
