This copycat Taco Bell Crunchwrap Recipe is perfect for a quick and easy weeknight meal! Just fill a soft tortilla with taco meat, lettuce, and cheese, and add some Doritos for some crunch!
Prepare Taco Meat: Brown ground beef over medium-high heat with chopped onion and garlic. Drain excess grease. Mix the taco seasoning with water and add to the cooked ground meat. Stir until combined.
Fill Tortilla Shell: Place ½ cup of taco meat in the center of a large tortilla. Sprinkle shredded cheese on top. Place Doritos in a circle around the taco meat, or place a tostada if you have one. Top with a drizzle of sour cream and salsa (if desired). Add lettuce, chopped tomatoes, and diced bell pepper. Add any other optional ingredients you like, such as black beans or diced avocado.
Fold Up The Tortilla Shell: Place a small tortilla shell over the filling ingredients in the center of each tortilla and press it down to flatten it a bit. Fold the left side of the large tortilla over the filling, then the top, the top right, bottom, bottom right, and then the right side. You should now have a hexagon-shaped tortilla with your fillings inside.
Cook The Crunch Wrap: Skillet Method: Heat a skillet over medium heat and spray with nonstick cooking spray. Place the crunch wrap folded side down onto the hot skillet. Cook for 1-2 minutes until browned on one side. Flip it over and cook the other side until golden brown, approximately 1-2 minutes. Repeat with your remaining homemade crunch wraps until you've made as many as you need.Air Fryer Method: Preheat your air fryer to 375 degrees F. Spray the basket with olive oil or avocado oil, place the crunch wrap folded side down, spray the top of the crunch wrap with avocado oil, and air fry for 3 minutes until crispy and golden brown. Repeat with your remaining homemade crunch wraps until you've made as many as you need.
Serve Homemade Crunch Wraps: Carefully cut them in half with a sharp knife and serve immediately with salsa or guacamole for dipping.

Notes
Spray the air fryer basket or skillet to prevent sticking when browning the crunch wrap.
Don't overstuff it or it won't hold together.
Break the Doritos so they don't poke through the tortilla shell.
