½teaspoonseasoning salt
⅛teaspoonblack pepperfinely ground
⅓cupPanko bread crumbs
2tablespoonbuttermelted
Instructions
Remove the stems from the mushrooms and chop them finely.
Place a small skillet over medium heat with 1 tablespoon of olive oil. Add the diced green onion and chopped mushroom stems. Saute until the onion is translucent, about 4 minutes. Add the diced garlic and cook for one more minute. Remove from heat.
In a small bowl, mix together the cooked onion mixture, crab, cream cheese, cheddar cheese, parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, seasoning salt, and black pepper. Stuff about 1 tablespoon of the mixture into each mushroom cap, lightly pressing down with the back of a spoon to fit as much stuffing as possible without overflowing. Try to use all of the stuffing.
Preheat the air fryer to 380 degrees F.
In a small bowl, mix together the melted butter and Panko bread crumbs. Press each stuffed mushroom, filling side down, into the bread crumbs.
Place the mushrooms in a single layer in the air fryer basket, leaving space between the mushrooms for airflow. Cook in batches if needed. Air fry for 10 minutes at 380℉, until the mushrooms are cooked through and the filling is golden brown and crispy on top.
Let cool for a minute or two before serving. Enjoy!
Notes
Use gluten-free bread crumbs instead of Panko for a gluten-free version.
Swap crab meat for cooked, chopped shrimp or lobster.
Omit the crab meat and add chopped artichokes for a vegetarian option.
Add red pepper flakes or diced jalapenos to the filling to make them spicy.
