  • 4 fillets tilapia fresh or frozen
  • ½ teaspoon lemon-pepper seasoning
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder

  • Lightly brush olive oil on the bottom of the rack in the air fryer to prevent the fish from sticking.
  • Preheat the air fryer to 400 degrees F.
  • When preheated, place fish fillets on the rack.
  • Mix seasoning in a bowl and sprinkle half of it evenly on the fish fillets. Next, flip the tilapia fillets over, and sprinkle the rest of the seasoning evenly over the fish.
  • Set your timer on the air fryer for 12 minutes. You do not need to flip the fish halfway through the cooking time. Tilapia is a very delicate fish, and it may fall apart if you flip it.
  • When the timer is done, check to make sure the fish is cooked. It should flake easily with a fork.
  • To serve, squeeze some fresh lemon over the fish and serve!
  • Enjoy!

Top Tips:
  • Preheat the air fryer before placing the tilapia in it.
  • Adjust the seasoning to taste.
  • If the fish is frozen, it needs to cook for 2-3 minutes more than fresh (thawed) fish.
  • No extra oil is required to air fry the tilapia.
  • Leave a bit of space between the fish fillets so air can pass around them for even cooking.
  • Do not overcrowd the basket.
If properly stored in an airtight container, cooked tilapia will last for 3 to 4 days in the fridge.
You can also freeze cooked tilapia in an airtight container or Ziploc bag for up to 2 months.
