These Ultra Crispy Air Fryer Potatoes are perfectly seasoned, cooked until crispy and golden brown on the outside, soft and fluffy on the inside. They cook in half the time as the oven and only use a fraction of the oil. These are so delicious you can eat them on their own, as a side dish, or serve them up as hashbrowns for breakfast.
Wash and peel the potatoes. Cut the potatoes into cubes in 1 to 2-inch pieces. Try to cut all potatoes a similar size for even cooking.
Place diced potatoes into a large bowl. Add seasonings and olive oil to the bowl. Use a spoon and mix until potatoes are well coated.
Preheat the air fryer. I set the temperature at 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Add potatoes to the basket of the air fryer. Do not overcrowd the basket of the air fryer. We want the potatoes to cook evenly and get really crispy.
Next, set the cooking time for 20 minutes, and be sure to shake the basket halfway through, at about 10 minutes. All air fryers do not cook the same, so the cooking time may have to be adjusted for your own air fryer.
After the 20 minutes are up, the potatoes should be crispy and golden on the outside. Test for doneness by inserting a fork into a piece of potato; it should feel soft.
That's it! Serve hot and enjoy!
Notes
Nutritional information is approximate and is meant as a guideline only.
Cut the potatoes into evenly sized pieces, so they cook evenly.
Do not overcrowd the basket of the air fryer. There needs to be space around the potatoes so that they become ultra-crispy.
Make sure to shake the basket halfway through the cooking time.
All air fryers are not equal. If your potatoes are not crispy enough, put them back in for another minute or two.
