Turkey Brine Recipe for Smoking

Make the best smoked turkey with this easy Turkey Brine Recipe. Infuse your Thanksgiving turkey with flavors of fresh herbs and citrus flavor, ensuring a moist, tender result. Ideal for creating a memorable smoked turkey centerpiece.

INGREDIENTS -water         -kosher salt -brown sugar -peppercorns -bay leaves -garlic -orange, lemon, lime -thyme and rosemary

Combine water, kosher salt, brown sugar, peppercorns, and garlic in a large pot. Heat until sugar and salt dissolves.

Add the juice from the orange, lemon, and lime, and add the peels and bay leaves. Cool the brine.

Place the whole turkey in the pot. Pour cooled brine over top.

Add enough cold water to completely cover the turkey.

Once brined, rinse the brine off the turkey. Now your turkey is ready to be prepared for the smoker.
