Smoked Duck Recipe


You will love the rich, smoky flavor in this easy Smoked Duck recipe! Juicy, tender duck with crispy skin is crowned with a glistening, flavor-packed glaze. Perfect for Christmas dinner or Sunday dinner.

All that is required to make this delicious smoked duck is: -whole duck -orange, onion, garlic -dry brine -dry rub -glaze

Apply the dry brine evenly over the entire surface of the duck. Refrigerate 12-24 hours.

Rinse the brine off the bird, dry, and poke the skin all over.

Apply the dry rub evenly over the entire duck and stuff with an orange, onion, and garlic.

Place the duck directly on the grates of your smoker. Smoke for about 1-1/2 hours until the internal temperature reaches 145 degrees F.

Prepare the glaze and brush it over the top of the duck. Apply 30 minutes later.

Turn up the heat on your pellet grill and smoke the duck until it reaches 165 degrees F.

Remove from heat, glaze again, and rest for 10-15 minutes before slicing and serving.  Enjoy!
