These are the softest, fluffiest dinner buns you will ever make. They are easy to make, even for a beginner, and they taste amazing! They are also vegan, and are so light they are called 'air buns'!
– ½ cup lukewarm water – 1 tbsp yeast – 1 tsp cane sugar – 2 cups HOT water – 2 tsp salt – ½ cup cane sugar – 1½ cups WARM water – ½ cup oil – 1 tbsp white vinegar – 9-10 cups flour
Mix ½ cup lukewarm water, 1tbsp yeast, and 1 tsp cane sugar in a medium bowl. Let it stand for 5 minutes.
To a large bowl, add hot water, salt, cane sugar, oil, vinegar, flour, and yeast mixture.
Mix until the dough starts to pull away from the sides of the bowl and becomes a smooth, round ball.
Cover and let rise for one hour.
Make dough into 1.5-inch balls. Place on parchment paper-lined cooke sheets Let rise for one hour.
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Cook for 12-15 minutes, until golden brown.
