Impress your Thanksgiving dinner guests with this Easy Traeger Turkey recipe! The turkey is rubbed with a blend of spices and smoked until it is juicy and full of flavor. The presentation of this juicy turkey is absolutely stunning!

All that is required to make this easy Traeger turkey is: -whole turkey  -melted butter -homemade turkey rub

Preheat the smoker to 275 degrees F.  Use kitchen shears to cut along the sides of the backbone. Remove the backbone entirely.

Next, remove the breastbone.

Flip the spatchcocked turkey over so the skin side is up. The turkey should be flattened out completely.

Pat the turkey dry with a paper towel.

Sprinkle the dry rub liberally over the entire turkey, being sure to get underneath the legs and on the sides of the bird.

Place the turkey directly on the grill grate of your smoker.

After the turkey has been smoking for 2 hours, drizzle melted butter over the turkey. This helps it get a crispy skin.

Close the lid, and continue to smoke until the internal temperature of the turkey reaches 165 degrees F.

Remove the turkey from the grill and cover it loosely with aluminum foil. Let the turkey rest for 15-20 minutes before carving.

Carve and serve with your favorite Thanksgiving side dishes.

Enjoy!
